Steve is a proven leader in the field. The voters have a rare
opportunity to compare track records of the candidates. In much
the same way you would analyze a resume, you can elect to hire
the best candidate for the job by reviewing job performance. Steve was
honored as the first Assessor of the Year in Colorado.
He served as
President of the Colorado Assessors Association and as chairman of that
association's legislative, audit, finance, and assessment issues committees.
- Knowledge

The Assessor's office is an office that requires a great deal of knowledge of
state law and local understanding. Throwing money at a process you
don't understand will not help the taxpayers of Larimer County. It is
not about the office needing more resources. It is about having the
leadership and knowledge to use the resources within the office to do
the job that is required.
- Accountability
- An Assessor must be accountable to the taxpayers of Larimer
County. Accountability is not shaking hands one month of the year. It
is knowing what your job is and making sure it gets done - no excuses.
